The newly live Ren feature can back up almost any asset on any asset on any blockchain » CryptoNinjas

Ren, a protocol that enables movement of value between blockchains, has announced that its Host 2 Host feature is now live on the mainnet. With Host 2 Host, RenVM can support almost any asset in any chain.

Some examples of types of tokens and capabilities offered by Host 2 Host:

  1. Generic ERC-20 Tokens: Now, RenVM can transfer public ERC-20s like $MIM to any supported host string like Solana, Abriturm, Polygon, etc. (like $renMIM).
  2. LP Codes: RenVM can also transfer LP tokens from one chain to another, which means if a certified RenVM can transfer $crvRenWBTC from Ethereum to Fantom to be used as collateral for a stablecoin like $MIM (eg rencrvRenWBTC).
  3. Native symbols via strings: Moreover, RenVM is now able to migrate the original assets to other chains to any other host chain as $SBR (SPL token, Solana token) to Ethereum-like chains as ERC-20 (eg $renSBR).
  4. L1 Originals: Finally, RenVM can now transfer the original assets to L1’s, like $ETH, to other chains like Solana in the form of $reNETH (as an SPL token in Solana’s case).

The raw assets supported by RenVM can be found below (in alphabetical order):

The original Blockchain assets

  • ArbETH = judge
  • AVAX = avalanche
  • BNB = Binance Coin
  • ETH = Ethereum
  • FTM = phantom
  • matic = polygon (matic)

ERC-20 Tokens

  • $BADGER = Badger Dow
  • BUSD = Binance USD
  • CRV $ = Curve
  • $ DAI = DAI
  • EURT Dollars = Euro Cord
  • FTT dollar = FTX
  • $KNC = Kipper Network
  • $Link = Chainlink
  • $MIM = Magical Internet Money
  • $ REN = REN
  • $ ROOK = goalkeeper DAO
  • $ sushi = sushi swab
  • UNI $ = Uniswap
  • USDC = USD currency
  • USDT = rope

These ERC-20 assets and their original chain now have their peers across all blockchains that support RenVM (such as $renMIM on Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Fantom, Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Solana). Token contracts for all assets on all blockchains supported by RenVM can be found on GitHub.

Those interested in trying to move these assets can do so in the new RenJS V3 demo.

“With the advent of Host 2 Host asset support, the Ren Core Dev team needed to overhaul RenJS, the Javascript library that allows third-party applications and dApps to interact with and use RenVM. These changes are significant and were the largest update to RenJS to date, making it more flexible and scalable. For SDK use for the ever-expanding world of DeFi.”
