Shark Tank star, NBA team owner Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, and CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Voyager offered some tips for people who are considering getting started with cryptocurrency investing. “You don’t have to spend a lot of money in order to learn. It’s not like the stock market where it’s almost impossible,” Cuban said.
How to get into crypto, what investors should know
NBA owner Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, and CEO of crypto platform Voyager, Steve Ehrlich, offered some tips on how to get into crypto last week during announcing the partnership between Dallas Mavericks and Voyager.
They were asked if it is too late to get into cryptocurrency and what new crypto investors should know. Answering the question: “Is it too late to get into cryptocurrency?” Steve Ehrlich, CEO of Voyager replied:
It’s never too late, and in fact, now is the time. I still think this is the first half of the first quarter in cryptocurrency adoption.
About 220 million people have cryptocurrency right now and we (expect) a billion people in four years. This shows you where we can really go with the adoption of crypto and cryptocurrency.”
You don’t have to spend a lot of money in order to learn. It’s not like the stock market where, with the exception of a few platforms, it’s nearly impossible to spend $10 and get started.
He also shared: “My now 12-year-old son made me into Dogecoin when he was less than a penny. I was like ‘let’s do this’ because it’s a cheap way for him to see how all this works.”
The two were also asked if someone was getting into crypto for the first time, “What are some basic things [they] Need to know?”
Enter small and learn a little. Start small and I believe it is always wise to start small financial investments and then work your way up.
He continued, “As you start to learn more and understand more, you can start to increase from there. But I think it is always a wise place to start.”
Cuban agreed, warning: “You spend your money, so always be careful. But the other thing, look, there are investments. Things like shiba inu [SHIB] and dogcoin [DOGE]These are not investments.”
