Adobe Leaps To Non-Fungible Token System With Photoshop Tool ‘Prepare As NFT’ – Bitcoin Blockchain News

Adobe Inc. , an American multinational computer software company well known for its platforms such as Photoshop and Illustrator, to the world of non-fungible tokens (NFT). “NFTs are going to transform creativity,” Adobe Product Manager Scott Belsky said in a recent interview with The Verge.

New Adobe Photoshop tool will help NFT creators “package and prepare, along with attribution capabilities”

Software company Adobe has released a Photoshop tool that allows creators to pre-create images for non-fungible token (NFT) applications. On October 26, Scott Belsky, Adobe’s chief product officer, spoke in an interview with The Verge’s Nilay Patel about the company’s deep dive into the world of NFTs.

The new Adobe Photoshop tool will allow users to add specific credentials so that popular markets like Opensea can read the metadata. During the interview with Patel, Belsky said he is optimistic about the NFT industry.

Belsky revealed that the “Prepare as NFT” option will be available by “the end of this month.” However, the new feature has been added to the latest version of Photoshop and users can add their own NFT credentials.

“It will be able to take on whatever you’re working on and help you package and set it up along with the attribution capabilities… of some of the popular mint and blockchain platforms out there,” the Adobe CEO said.

Adobe Chief Product Officer: “No layout changes to Photoshop – an open source framework”

The Verge’s Patel Belsky asked if there would be any changes to the current Photoshop format and the product manager said no. “Yes, there are no changes to the format, and the encrypted signature points to the IPFS (Interplanetary File System) showing you the attribution data,” Belsky stressed during the interview.

“But again, it is a decentralized storage and it is an open source framework. So, again, anyone can cryptographically sign anything from within the tool used to create something and then take advantage of the same system,”

Adobe Product Manager added:

And that’s cool, because we don’t want this to be anything owned by Adobe or part of one of our formats, and that would defeat the purpose.

The news that Adobe has added the NFT tool to the Photoshop platform also follows Deviantart’s collaboration with Opensea. The world’s largest online art gallery and Opensea technology designed to expose potential NFT violations. “We have scaled up our system to identify near matches to non-fungible tokens (NFTs) sent over the Internet,” said Deviantart’s July 1 announcement.
