© Reuters. Stock indices in Australia rose at the end of today’s session; The S&P/ASX 200 is up 0.34%.
Investing.com – Australian shares rose after the close on Monday, with gains in the sectors, led by higher stocks.
At the close in Sydney, the index rose 0.34% to hit a new one-month high.
Among the top performers of the day were Mineral Resources Ltd (ASX:), which rose 8.96% or 3.53 points and traded at 42.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Beach Energy Ltd (ASX:): added 5.07% or 0.070 pips to close at 1.450 and ramelius resources Ltd (ASX 🙂 was up 4.85% or 0.075 pips at 1.620 at the close of trading.
As for the weakest performance at the end of trading today, the share of Perpetual Ltd (ASX:) closed down at 5.18% or 2.12 points, and traded at 38.83 levels at the close. Kogan.com Ltd (ASX) stock fell 5.04%, or 0.56 points, to 10.55 nano Ltd (ASX) was down 4.14% or 0.24 points at 5.56.
Advances outnumbered decliners on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 731 to 670, and 374 closed unchanged.
The S Index, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, rose 0.66% to 11.950.
Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.13%, or $2.25, to $1,798.55 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude oil for December delivery rose 0.72%, or $0.60, to $84.36 a barrel, while Brent oil for January rose 0.70%, or $0.59, to trade at $85.23 a barrel.
AUD/USD rose 0.48% to 0.7499, while AUD/JPY rose 0.66% to 85.25.
US Dollar Index futures fell 0.14% to 93.493.
