Today’s Petrol and Diesel Prices in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad: Gasoline prices rose for the second day in a row by oil marketing companies on Friday across metro cities. Petrol in the national capital today costs 101.89 rupees per liter, up 25 baisas from yesterday, while diesel is sold in the capital at 90.17 rupees per liter, up 30 baisas. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) and hindustan petroleum company Ltd. (HPCL) Review fuel prices daily in line with standard international rates and foreign exchange rates.
The cost of petrol in Mumbai remains the highest across metro cities, at Rs 107.95 per liter. Diesel in the country’s financial capital costs Rs 97.84 per liter. The difference in prices between Delhi and Mumbai is due to different local VAT factors in different cities. Gasoline and diesel prices are determined based on freight charges, local taxes and value-added tax. Gasoline has crossed the Rs 100 liter mark in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Ladakh and some cities of Bihar and Punjab.

Crude oil price
Crude oil prices fell again on Friday amid expectations of an increase in OPEC+ production. According to Reuters, Brent crude futures were trading at $78.24 a barrel, down from the $80 a barrel it touched earlier this week. US West Texas Intermediate Gulf futures were at $74.98 a barrel.
